Barça Ready for First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years since relocating for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside as per the current authorization. After final construction, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced finished work included an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barcelona held an open training session inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side in December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
