The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”. “The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the commissioner stated. Remembering the Victims The victims of the crash were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. Omotoso added that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.” His release from the hospital arrives after the global fight fans offered condolences for the champion in the aftermath of the devastating accident.
